Not the best Jan 31, 2011
By M. Knoblock I have done a lot of juicing over the years, starting with a garden-variety model (Oster or something), then moving up to better models till I lost my good one (a L'Equip higher-end) during a move to another state. I decided to start up again after a few years off, and bought the Jack LaLanne base model (~$99). Big mistake - never buy a white juicer! It worked alright but made a mess, including spraying juice all over the place because the spout has no deflection tunnel. Had that one for about a month before I gave it away and looked for my trusty L'Equip, but they don't make that model anymore. I bought the 215 XL hoping it would have the better quality without having to pay 200-300 bucks.
This model has a bigger chute than cheap juicers, is not overly noisy, and extracts carrot juice just fine. The problem is that it also sprays juice out of the funnel; you either have to stand to the side or wear a shirt you don't care about. I think the high RPMs of the basket create too much air flow. This problem aside, you also need a bungie cord or something to hold the pulp basket up to the juicer body for the same reason; the high air flow actually pushes this basket away and if you don't watch it carefully there is an inch gap between the two and you have carrot pulp all over the place.
Any other problem with this juicer is common to all centrifugal style juicers: they spin too fast and create too much froth. Another problem with this one is juicing pulpy fruit - tried pineapple and mango one time and never again - what a mess!
Because I love juicing, I now bit the bullet bought a Breville BJE510XL for about $200, hoping that a move to higher-priced juicers will give me one that does not make such a mess.
My advice: stay away from this and all low-end juicers and go for the higher-end models; if you do this from the start you wont't waste hundreds of bucks like I did on juicers that spray paint the kitchen walls. I'll be reviewing the Breville in the next few weeks...

L'Equip 215 XL Wide Mouth Juicer - Black May 18, 2011
By glennda I got this as a gift from my brother and I love it! I've tried others but this one not only fill about 3 mugs of juice, it cleans like a charm. In 5 minutes, everything is washed and done. The juicer is very powerful and I'm totally thrilled with it. When it arrived it only worked 3 times. Send it to the mfg and got it back working perfect. Excellent service and customer repair.

I just started juicing for my diabetes and this machine is not only lovely on the counter but works great as well. I was a little skeptical from reading all the different juicer reviews but I thought I would give this one a chance plus it has a 10 year warranty so all the better.

Works Good Aug 30, 2011
By Strobble I have been using mine for at least 30 days and it works nice. I don't juice fruit, just vegetables. I have mastered the vegetable juicing recipes; however, at first it tasted terrible. Now I use organic carrots and celery for my base, then I blend in other vegetables. I also use a little ice and 95% of the time the drinks taste very good. I also use the carrot and celery remains for split pea and lentils soups in my crock pot.

Works well for me! Jan 25, 2012

This is my 2nd juicer purchased within 6 months. The cheaper Beville was a messy pain to clean. This Lequip was only 20 bucks more, well worth the investment.
This little beast is used for mostly for carrots, celery, apples, ginger root, some kale, cabbage, nothing really hard core. I end up using it once a day for a 4 pm pick me up. It's a basic home juicer.
I know there are much more expensive juicers out there. They probably could do a better job on the leafy greens, but I'm not adverse to eating a salad.
Aside from being very easy to clean, this juicer produces a very dry pulp--meaning that more juice for me. It's quieter than the Breville and doesn't take up as much room. The Lequip does spray juice if you aren't careful to put your pitcher in the right spot, and one time it moved when I turned on the motor. Guess what? You can learn plan for that.
Over all, I am very pleased with this unit. My Breville is going to a friend who will probably pass it on when she gets sick of cleaning it.
